Quick Review – A value driven line from Wolf Blass that tastes surprisingly smooth. One of the surprise finds on this blog. 90/100
Snobs turn away from Wolf Blass because it’s considered too mass market… Eaglehawk, the lower tier line from said mass market brand is like a double whammy. On top of the relatively nice looking label is a plastic Wolf Blass sticker, as if the marketing folks decided they needed to add back a bit of brand cache.
The Eaglehawk Chardonnay, despite being tremendously young, is balanced and tasty, with just the right amount of fruitiness and complexity. A superb table wine that will surprise even the more snobbish palate.
